The last panel of the V International Meeting of Women in Cinema that is part of the ficmonterrey had the participation of Aurélie Bordier, delegate of the Association for the Diffusion of Independent Cinema (ACID) in France, and the film director, Marina Deak, who talked about how women’s participation in the film is promoted and the need to defend creative freedom.

In the talk moderated by Janeth Aguirre, executive director of the festival, Bordier, shared his experiences to get spaces and project independent cinema. He explained that ACID was born 28 years ago with the solidarity of filmmakers who seek greater exposure to their films.

In that sense, director Marina Deak said to seek the dissemination of her tapes with treatments that are understandable to everyone, without that meaning a simplistic narrative and appealed to defend creative freedom, that is, more than as women, as artists.
